Where I'm Meant To Be is the second studio album by London-based jazz quintet Ezra Collective, released on November 4, 2022, through Partisan Records.
The album showcases the band's dynamic fusion of jazz with elements of Afrobeat, hip-hop, and R&B, reflecting their diverse musical influences and London's vibrant cultural scene.
The album features notable collaborations with artists such as Sampa The Great, Kojey Radical, Emeli Sandé, and Nao, adding unique dimensions to the band's sound.
"Where I'm Meant To Be" received critical acclaim for its innovative compositions and energetic performances. The album won the prestigious Mercury Prize in 2023 and was nominated for Best Jazz Record at the 2023 Libera Awards.
It also debuted at number one on the UK's Jazz & Blues chart, spending six non-consecutive weeks at the top spot.
The album's cover art is a photograph of a studio in South London, filled with items representing the band's inspirations and personal milestones, such as a Kazakhstani flag symbolizing a memorable concert and a Fela Kuti record. This imagery was inspired by Thelonious Monk's "Underground" album cover.
