"Only God Was Above Us" is the fifth studio album by American indie rock band Vampire Weekend, released on April 5, 2024. The album features a mix of indie rock, chamber pop, and neo-psychedelia styles. It was co-produced by lead vocalist and guitarist Ezra Koenig, longtime collaborator Ariel Rechtshaid, drummer Chris Tomson, and former member Rostam Batmanglij. The album's title is derived from a 1988 New York Daily News headline, referencing a passenger's quote during the Aloha Airlines Flight 243 incident.
