The Grateful Dead's Nightfall of Diamonds, originally released in 2001, captures the band's complete live performance from October 16, 1989, at the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This concert, notable for coinciding with Bob Weir's birthday, was the final night of a five-show run at the venue.
For Record Store Day 2024, Nightfall of Diamonds is being issued on vinyl for the first time. This limited edition release features a 4-LP set pressed on 180-gram vinyl, with an etching on the eighth side. The audio has been mixed from the original 24-track analog tapes and newly mastered by Jeffrey Norman, ensuring superior sound quality. The release is limited to 10,000 copies worldwide.
This Record Store Day exclusive offers Deadheads and vinyl enthusiasts alike a chance to experience a pivotal live performance from the band's late '80s era, meticulously remastered and presented in a deluxe format.
