Goblin is the debut studio album by Tyler, The Creator, the founder of Odd Future. The album expands on the raw, controversial, and introspective themes introduced in his 2009 mixtape Bastard, with Tyler using the alter ego of a therapy patient speaking to his fictional therapist, "Dr. TC." Lyrically, Goblin explores mental health struggles, fame, rebellion, and self-destruction, delivered through Tyler’s signature dark and often unsettling storytelling. The album’s aggressive and experimental production, mainly handled by Tyler himself, features lo-fi beats, eerie synths, and distorted basslines, giving it a uniquely chaotic yet cohesive sound.
