Released in 1969, 3614 Jackson Highway marked a bold shift in Cher's musical direction. Named after the address of the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Alabama, the album is steeped in Southern soul and rock influences. Unlike her earlier pop-focused records, this project features Cher covering songs by Bob Dylan, The Bee Gees, Otis Redding, and others, backed by the iconic Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. The result is a raw, emotionally charged, and vocally rich album that showcases her depth as an interpreter. Though it wasn't a commercial success at the time, 3614 Jackson Highway has since been praised as one of her most artistically ambitious and critically acclaimed albums
